The citizens of Butner and the surrounding communities have just gone through a stressful and difficult time dealing with all the issues involved with the possible locating of the NBAF in our community. We are grateful for all those that helped our community learn about the issue and to exercise their right to participate. While we wait to learn of the outcome, we would like to take a break and have some FUN. Let our town come together and enjoy an afternoon. The pet pageant will have a stage, judging in various categories, prizes, a raffle, a food vender, awareness booths, a pet photographer, special items for dogs and maybe even a petting ‘zoo’ and more.
